A former member of the hit latina female group Soluna, Christina T. Lopez is poised for super stardom as the only Latin artist on the roster of one of today's most influential and popular record labels - Cash Money Records/Universal Motown. T popped by the studio to chill with The Lilal Network Live From Hollywood and rap about her hot collabo with AB Quintanilla called Mentirosa, her forthcoming debut album with Cash Money, and her love of Mariachi music. Among the artists housed under the same record company umbrella are Lil'Wayne, Drake, Baby, Nicki Minaj, and Jay Sean. Add to this mix a versatile singer/songwriter like T. Lopez equipped with hit-producing skills capable of rocking audiences in English, as well as Spanish, and Cash Money has the makings of another bankable artist for their superstar-filled recording family. A native of Ontario, California, also referred to as the "I.E.," which stands for Inland Empire, T. In addition to performing at numerous events and showcases throughout the US and abroad, T was invited to join Spain's Los del Rio on the 2009 remix of their mega-hit anthem Macarena, which also featured rapper Yeyo from The DEY, and El Chino DreadLion. Living legend Kenny Burrell blessed The Lilal Network Live From Hollywood with his presence to promote his new album on High Note Records "Be Yourself: Live At Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola!" A prolific composer and artist, Kenny Burrell is the most consistent and accomplished guitarist in the history of Jazz. With well over 100 albums to his credit, his body of work is unrivaled. On his latest release "Be Yourself," Burrell is accompanied by a blazing squad of players - Benny Green on piano, bass player Peter Washington, drum wizard Clayton Cameron, and young tenor saxophone/flute extraordinaire Tivon Pennicott. Considered a "find" of Mr. Burrell's, Tivon Pennicott marks his professional recording debut with "Be Yourself," and if this project is a foreshadowing of any kind, Mr. Pennicott is destined to achieve a legendary body of work all his own. Five Kenny Burrell Fun Facts: * Music icon Duke Ellington considered Kenny Burrell his favorite guitarist, even though they never worked together. * In 1998, Kenny Burrell won a Grammy Award for a song he composed called "Dear Ella," which was performed by Dee Dee Bridgewater. * When Burrell was 19, he played his first major recording session in 1951 with a Dizzy Gillespie combo that included John Coltrane, Percy Heath, and Milt Jackson. * Kenny Burrell received the Grammy Foundation's 2010 President's Merit Award. * As an educator, Kenny Burrell is the founder and director of the Jazz Studies Program at UCLA where he also serves as a professor of music and ethnomusicology.
